Executive Chef Dusty Chorvat

James Island

Growing up, Chef Dusty Chorvat spent summers at his grandparents’ vegetable, egg and cattle farm, while working exclusively at pizza joints throughout high school and college. After attending the Art Institute of Atlanta, Chorvat lived for eight years in western North Carolina working with an organic restaurant concept, Relia’s Garden, before moving to Oregon to experience different culinary influences. Eight years later, he returned east to Charleston, working in kitchens like EVO and The Glass Onion, before collaborating on the menu at Monza with chef Mike Lata. Chorvat brings a farmers-first mentality to every dish at CrustWood Fired Pizza.

From pizza pies to homemade gnocchi and daily seasonal specials, Chorvat utilizes a wood fired oven and fresh ingredients to create a flavorful made-from-scratch menu.
